2025 has already been a whirlwind, and if you’re anything like us, you’ve been doing your best to navigate all the ups and downs. With so many distractions pulling us in every direction, it’s easy to feel like we’re just reacting to life rather than shaping it.
That’s why The Becoming Love Project is excited to launch Story Rewrite, a free, interactive screenwriting workshop designed to help you reimagine your life—both on and off the screen.
This one-of-a-kind event is happening on Saturday, May 17, in Atlanta at one of the city’s hottest television production studios (more details coming soon!). And best of all? It’s completely free.
What Is Story Rewrite?
Story Rewrite isn’t just a workshop—it’s an experience. It’s a chance to explore how screenwriting can be a powerful tool for personal transformation. Whether you’re a writer, a creative, or simply someone looking for a fresh start, this event is designed to help you:
- Take control of your narrative using storytelling techniques
- Let go of limiting beliefs through guided writing exercises
- Step into your creative power and shape your future like a screenplay
Unlike traditional writing workshops, this isn’t about mastering industry standards or becoming a Hollywood screenwriter (though we love that, too!). This is about using the art of screenwriting to rewrite your own story—one scene at a time.
Led by Award-Winning Filmmaker & Storytellers
This workshop will be facilitated by award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter Tamala Baldwin, whose work can be seen on BET+, Hulu, Disney, and Tubi. Tamala, along with other expert storytellers, will guide you through hands-on exercises that bring screenwriting principles to life in a way that is deeply personal, transformative, and fun.
Most importantly, this isn’t a sit-and-watch event—it’s a fully immersive experience where we’ll roll up our sleeves and write together.
Why Storytelling? Why Now?
Story Rewrite takes place during Mental Health Awareness Month, and while it’s not a traditional mental health event, it’s rooted in the idea that storytelling can be one of the most powerful tools for healing, clarity, and self-discovery.
In a world that often tries to write our stories for us, this workshop is about taking the pen back—literally and figuratively. Whether you’ve been feeling stuck, uninspired, or simply curious about the power of screenwriting, this space is for you.
What You’ll Learn
Through expert-led exercises, you’ll discover how to:
1. Focus on the story you want to tell (and live!)
Just like in film, what we focus on shapes the narrative. Learn how to use visualization and screenwriting techniques to craft a compelling, forward-moving story for your life.
2. Let go of outdated scripts and limiting beliefs
Every great screenplay goes through a rewrite—and so does every great life. We’ll explore how to release old stories that no longer serve you and create space for new possibilities.
3. Step into your role as the ultimate storyteller
You are the writer, the director, and the star of your own story. Using character development and dialogue techniques, we’ll explore how to shape narratives that align with your highest vision.
Limited Spots Available—Register Now!
Because we want this to be an intimate, hands-on experience, space is extremely limited. And to make it even more special, the first 25 people who register will receive an exclusive gift at the event!
📅 Date: Saturday, May 17
